Current anime episodes comments - Fairy Tail, Accel World, Mahou Tsukai Nara Miso wo Kue, Moretsu Pirates (Final), Kuroko no Basuke

Fairy Tail

Episode 137

Dan's life story.
That guy sure is cheerful and easygoing.
His story was like some drama with sudden ups and downs ^^"
Guess he just doesn't have any luck with love & is totally hopeless!!
Samuel vs Lily! Now that was cool ^^
Looks like each group was slowly making progress and finding trouble fast.
Those Legion guys seems to be everywhere..

Accel World

Episode 12

Black Lotus vs Cherry Rook/Disaster!
Scarlet Rain's sudden change of heart was surprising, but not unexpected.
She was lucky to have such good friends who'd take her side even if she was acting like a complete brat.
Silver Crow wanted to be the hero, but just ended up in a heap of trouble which he luckily managed to get out of.
So the problems with Disaster are no more, or? Guess we'll see about that remnant hitchhiker thing.

Mahou Tsukai Nara Miso wo Kue

OVA

Shouta meets Artemisia in a LOL way ^^
Manuella & Artemisia's showdown, fire vs water, was nice.
Both girl were totally looking-for-ero-under-the-bed obsessed.
There were lots of fan service, so guys will probably love this one.
This sure was one fun and interesting OVA.

Moretsu Pirates

Episode 26 Final

The battlefield. All ready, set, GO!
Linking all the ship and doing some serious teamwork was a smart choice.
I'm still surprised that the pirates managed to unite.
Boarding Quartz Christie's ship; now that was fun.
Looks like Marika is the one who'll be a famous pirate now ^^
This final episode was a total blast! 10/10

Kuroko no Basuke

Episode 13

Kagami became unhinged for a while, but good thing Kuroko snapped him out of it.
Seirin vs Shutoku game seems like it going on indefinitely..
At least Seirin's new strategy was working.
Guess their team is nothing without Kuroko as player & as adviser.

Japan Shopping - Tiger & Bunny character jacket/iPhone 4/4S case, Ore no Imouto figure strap

Last Saturday I accidentally stumbled across Strapya's web site. It was not my first time there, but since they changed their shipping policy to EMS only (which is as you know very expensive) I avoided it. I must also admit that it was the first web site where I bought my otaku stuff in the past. So...... they always have interesting stuff, but were off limits for me due to reasons above. I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw they had a special sale. You know that kind where you have to spend certain amount of money to get the bonus thing, which was in this case FREE EMS shipping!! That was just wow! for me and I decided to take advantage of it since the required amount was only 2100 yen and it was just a 2 day deal.
The results are, as you can see below, these two totally cool items. I'm a sucker for those "surprise anime figure straps" where you can't pick which character you get until you open the box and see just how lucky (or not so lucky) you are. This time I got it from Ore no Imouto anime and since I had some luck I got Kuroneko ^-^ which is totally cute. The other item was from Tiger & Bunny; a character jacket/case for iPhone 4/4S with Wild Tiger on it. Totally cool looking thing! I rarely buy anime stuff, other than those which I get as omake from magazines, so this made me really happy! Also, I never used EMS before ('cause I just can't afford it), but I was shocked when my items arrived in only 3 days after they were sent, so very cool!
Enjoy the photos below ^-^

*I'm not advertising Strapya here, this is just how awed I was with the whole thing and excited with the bargain deal.

Current anime episodes comments - Natsuiro Kiseki (Final), Eureka Seven Ao, Sankarea (Final)

Natsuiro Kiseki

Episode 12 Final

Nice one! So guess that wishing stone somehow did it again!
Getting another chance over and over was awesome.
Day at the beach was nice ^^
It was about time they nailed that audition too.
Guess they were stuck in a loop until they did the right thing.
It was a really nice final episode.

Eureka Seven Ao

Episode 11

Dealing with another Secret..
That one at least had a nice sense of humor ^^
Looks like the girls & Ao brought a stowaway from their last fight.
That Trapar thing incapacitated them very easily.
Miller, Elena & Ao sure make an interesting team, even though one of them was a hallucination ^^"
So Elena is not really Elena after all?! Wonder who she really is?

Sankarea

Episode 12 Final

Life is back to "normal" as mush as it can be in her state.
Rea seems to be longing for the normal school life days a bit.
Their small fireworks festival was really nice ^^
So she got her wish to attend school again, Furuya sure is lenient towards her.
That attack/kiss was something I half expected, but maybe not that aggressive.
This sure was a relaxed final episode.

Current anime episodes comments - Sket Dance, Naruto Shippuuden, Sakamichi no Apollon (Final), Tsuritama (Final)

Sket Dance

Episode 64

Samurai guy caused another funny incident LOL
This school trip was totally funny since everyone seemed to be at their max craziness.
Bossun & Himeko were closer and closer to being discovered.
Saaya's flashbacks were nice ^^
Looks like she developed some strong feelings for Bossun.
The bed sharing thing was really a nice bonus this time.
The mini game special was pretty interesting and LOL but didn't really fit after the whole school trip theme.

Naruto Shippuuden

Episode 268

So this time the feudal lords were in the center of attention.
Switching between them and the front lines kept things interesting.
Those undead guys are a really serious problem.
So far we've seen a whole lot of strategizing and not enough fighting for an all out war.
Think it's about time Naruto showed his face and did some fighting.

Sakamichi no Apollon

Episode 12 Final

Nishimi was slipping back into his old lonely life without Sentaro.
Without him things are kinda more relaxed in school and with Ritsuko.
Kaoru's feelings were obviously deeply hurt by Sentaro.
High school ended and sad goodbye's followed.
Life continued for all of them and carrier choices they made were pretty cool ^^
The reunion sure was full of nostalgia and really nice.
Great final episode!

Tsuritama

Episode 12 Final

Flashbacks to the fun days with Haru were nice.
They were just the motivation Yuki needed.
Fishing for that dragon was certainly the event of a lifetime.
Goodbye time was pretty cheerfull, just like Haru always was!
And life went on.... and Urara came back!!! ^-^
Nice final episode!

Anime Movies - The Secret World of Arrietty

A story about growing up and life from two different perspectives. It was really interesting to see the world from Arrietty's perspective where everything is so big and dangerous. Small creatures which we take for granted pose a threat in their everyday lives, not to mention humans. The unusual friendship between Arrietty and Sho was really sweet. The little people stories were part of Sho's family for generations and the doll house that was made especially for them was really something special. This movie was full of wishes they wanted to become reality, secret friendship, emotions and dealing with reality of things. All in all, a really nice movie with an enjoyable and little bit sad story, but worth watching.

Genres: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy

Sho moves into his great aunt's house and soon discovers the presence of tiny people, the Borrowers, living there. A 14-year-old Borrower named Arrietty strives to prove herself by helping her father gather materials that her family needs from Sho's new home. However, Arrietty and Sho meet, breaking the rule that humans must not know about the Borrowers' existence. As Sho and Arrietty's relationship develops, human interference endangers the Borrowers' lives. Arrietty and Sho work together to try and protect the Borrowers' way of life.

Current anime episodes comments - Jormungand (Final)

Jormungand

Episode 12 Final

A little more detail about Ugo this time.
The surprise attack was a failure.
Looks like that trio just didn't have what it takes to take out Koko's gang.
Valmet's little fun & games in the desert compound were totally an adrenaline high.
Looks like she finally managed to deal with her past face to face.
All is well that ends well and it this case it ended well ^^

K-pop group - B1A4

There’s a new idol group in town, and they’re here to show us a concept that’s quite unique. B1A4 is a South Korean idol group which is formed and managed by WM Entertainment. Current anime episodes comments - Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (Final), Zetman (Final)

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san

Episode 12 Final

Mashiro was bored without the usual chaos around him.
It was a bit weird how he ended up all alone.
Flashbacks to fun days with his female aliens were nice.
Nighttime showed what was really going on & the fun part began.
Nice final episode but I was kinda expecting it to have more action.

Zetman

Episode 13 Final

Jin took Hanako's death really badly.
Kouga & his Alphas were practically helpless against Haitani.
I'm glad Jin managed to get a grip and put an end to that madman.
Childhood friendship broken...
I was expecting Jin to go nuts, but Kouga outdid himself with his twisted sense of justice.
Jin's new transformation was just amazing.
Looks like the city has got 2 heroes now.
Good final episode.

Anime Special! - Princess Princess

Princess Princess is an older anime (from 2006), but still interesting to watch. It's a lot different from Gakuen Heaven which I was watching earlier. Although both stories are at all boys high schools the similarities end there. This story is about two and later three (when Tooru transferred in) first year guys who are half forced, half willing cosplaying as princesses at their school to keep the good moral for other students. Mikoto, Yuu and Tooru are not just princesses to other students, but also a high motivation in their school activites & are always swamped with some kind of cheering or events. Mikoto is always protesting against being a princess but the job has a lot of privileges so he keeps at it; he's also the only one that has a girlfriend LOL. To top it all off those three also have personal, family related problems they are going through. Princess Princess is a really fun, relaxing and occasionally emotional anime which you'll enjoy watching even though the story is a "bit" unusual.

Genres: comedy, drama
Themes: bishounen, cross dressing, crossdressing, school, shounen-ai

When beautiful Tooru transferred to an all-boys school, he received a warm welcome...but little did he know that his new classmates had nominated him for the academy's "Princess System." The lovely campus "Princesses" must dress as girls (in frilly Gothic Lolita costumes) at school events in order to lighten the stolid masculine atmosphere. Tooru balks at first, but soon comes to realize the advantages of being a "Princess."

Current anime episodes comments - Hyouka, AKB0048, Aquarion EVOL, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia

Hyouka

Episode 10

The movie story continues.
Looks like they only wanted Oreki to solve this case, not the Classics club.
Irisu sees him as some kind of prodigy and I must say she's right.
Oreki is talented, but also lazy.
The only thing that save him from his boring life was the Classics club.
He really is something like a Japanese version of Sherlock Holmes.

AKB0048

Episode 9

Tundrastar - the next concert.
Takamina wasn't too happy she was out of the concert due to injuries.
The stroll around town was kinda gloomy and sad.
Well, at least girls got a chance to see how other, less lucky people live.
Guess they have fans in every city and planet ^^ no matter how they live.
Bonding with the fans was nice.

Aquarion EVOL

Episode 26 Final

Looks like even Kagura has a soft spot.
Earth & Altair practically merging is reeking havoc.
It's cool how Zessica and Kagura switched to Amata's side ^^
Fight with Mikage was something else, really enjoyable to see.
There were all kinds of feelings flying around, especially Amata's.
Seems like Mikage was defeated with pure love ^-^
This was a really nice final episode with lots of action!

Tasogare Otome x Amnesia

Episode 12 Final

Yuuko's body finally buried properly and with dignity.
Teiichi & Yuuko's date was really nice to watch ^^
Those two are really sweet together, shame she's a ghost.
Her fading away didn't help much either, poor Teiichi.
Saying goodbye was really hard... but I guess that's what this whole episode was about.
Luckily, Yuuko found another sweet reason to stay ^-^

Anime Movies - Naruto Shippuuden 5: Blood Prison

I'm a bit behind with this one, but better late than never. It was just amazing to see how fast his shinobi friends turned on him. Also, it was pretty naive since they all know Naruto very well. His attempted escapes from that prison were nice to watch even though they were kinda clumsy. The prison itself was very interesting indeed since it held lots of intriguing secrets. The final standoff between Naruto and that flying monster was indeed enjoyable to watch which just proves my point that Naruto movies are pretty awesome with interesting stories and lots of action. I must also add that surprise appearance of his friends was really nice and it just boosted the usual friendship values that Naruto series often emphasized.
All in all, Naruto Shippuuden TV anime series would seriously benefit from a story like the one in this movie. I just had to compare it to the series since it was a pleasure watching this movie unlike the series which are more fillers and beating around the bush than what they were actually supposed to be; action filled and interesting!

Genres: action, comedy, horror, mystery, psychological, thriller
Themes: assassins, fighting, ninja, prison

After being captured for attempting to assassinate the leader of the Hidden Lightning Village (the Raikage) and killing Jonin from the Hidden Mist and Rock Villages, Naruto is imprisoned in Hozūkijo, a criminal containment facility also known as: Blood Prison. The warden of the facility, Mūi, uses the ultimate imprisonment jutsu to steal the power and abilities from it’s prisoners. In the Blood Prison, something is targeting Naruto’s life. The battle to prove his innocence and uncover the truth has begun for Naruto and his friends.

Current anime episodes comments - One Piece, Nazo no Kanojo X, Space Brothers, Hunter x Hunter, Hiiro no Kakera

One Piece

Episode 553

Hordy finally confessed murdering Otohime.
Shirahoshi's statement was even more shocking.
That girl sure has a big heart, just like her mother did..
Wow! Luffy's arrival sure was kinda LOL, but his actions were oh so very serious!
Straw Hats sure know how to make an entrance! Finally!!

Nazo no Kanojo X

Episode 12

So it was true, Tsubaki just can't help himself but see her as naked since the festival.
Looks like Ayu was right about Tsubaki's dirty mind LOL
That was seriously becoming a problem.
Urabe sure got worried when she accidentally nicked him.
Looks like all the emotions are getting to her (and her aim).
Their self control seems to be crumbling.
Ayu is acting kinda weird with trying to copy Urabe.

Space Brothers

Episode 13

Mutta's version of running math was a total failure LOL
They sure gave them some weird tasks to do.
The ants analogy was interesting and the flashback was nice.
Mutta had a nice point there in the final task.

Hunter x Hunter 2011

Episode 36

Hisoka vs Gon continues.
As things are now, Gon just doesn't stand a chance.
Hisoka was just incredbile, his powers are amazing.
He managed to kick Gon's ass and lecture him all at the same time.
So this concluded their stay at Heavens Arena.

Hiiro no Kakera

Episode 13

This is really starting to annoy me.
These guys are pathetic. Every time they lose the fight.
It's nice watching them fight, but I'd be nicer watching them win for a change.
Interesting how Takuma awakened before Tamaki.
So far, this was the best episode of them all.
I think visual novel is probably way better than this anime..

Anime Special! - .hack//Liminality

This is actually an OVA of of the original .hack//SIGN that has only 4 episodes and each of them has a different title, but the same topic. The order of episodes are: Infection, Mutation, Outbreak & Quarantine with the mutual name Liminality. The story this time follows players & people around them who are outside of the game and are watching what is happening. "The World" (that's the name of the game) is starting to affect reality and the borders of real world & "The World" are becoming blurred. Once again players are being trapped by the game but this time a group of people gets together to discover what is really going on. The main problem again was the creators' wish to make a prefect AI which backfired when the sub program blocked it's release because it got too smart. Liminality OVA's finally explain the outsider's view of the game and it's influence on reality on a much bigger level. Interesting to watch and a good sequel to .hack//SIGN.

In the year 2007, an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) known as 'The World' is released in the US and becomes insanely popular, spreading worldwide and reaching up to 20 million players. One day, a mysterious phenomenon occurs where all the monsters in the game become increasingly powerful and harbour otherwise unheard of abilities. Along with this, players are unable to make any progress with their characters. Naturally, these occurrences render The World rather unplayable, so a player who goes by the name of Kite decides to get to the bottom of it.
The story follows three girls, Mai Minase, Yuki Aihara, and Kyoko Tohno, and a former CC Corp. director of the Japanese version of The World, Junichiro Tokuoka. They investigate as to why several people have fallen into a coma while playing the game. The first three episodes centers on one of the girls, but in episode four, it centers on all characters.

Current anime episodes comments - Accel World, Area no Kishi, Fairy Tail, Fate/Zero II, Moretsu Pirates, Kuroko no Basuke

Accel World

Episode 11

Haru and his team got ambushed.
That Yellow Radio guy sure was pretty annoying.
The flashback part was really interesting.
What Black Lotus did was really cruel, no wonder she is still bothered by it.
Yellow vs Red team.
Things were looking really bad for Red team...
Good thing Black Lotus got to her senses and saved the day.
Really really nice action this time.

Area no Kishi

Episode 24

Things were looking pretty bad for Enoshima.
Asuka was proving to be a serious handful.
The flashback part was interesting.
At least it gave us a little insight into Asuka's mind.
Kakeru's Suguru mode always proves to be very affective.
Looks like there still may be some hope left!

Fairy Tail

Episode 136

Erza's team and the Jiggle But Gang ^^"
Those guys are really hung up on following Wendy LOL
On the other hand Natsu's team was still playing with Dan *sigh*
Lucy sure had an interesting distraction idea for Dan ROFL
That guy is so predictable when it comes to Lucy.
Well... at least they were making some progress.

Fate/Zero II

Episode 12 (25) Final

OMG! Never thought Kiritsugu would order Saber to destroy the Grail.
The after effects were shocking.
So we finally get to the point where season 1 began.
Weaver got himself a nice temporary family, but guess he misses Rider the most.
Little Rin at the start of her later destiny..
Saber broken about her Lancelot T-T
Kiritsugu and Shiro... at least he got a quite life.
Pretty good final episode.

Moretsu Pirates

Episode 25

Marika and her crew in the pirate's nest.
Those pirates sure come in all shapes and sizes LOL
Marika's challenge sure was a bold move!
Quartz Christie - the legendary pirate/pirate hunter.
That Ironbeard guy was as interesting as Quartz.
Those two are pretty unusual, but have an air of seriousness and strength.
Kane & his twin brother got busted for switching places, nice ^^
So finally the direct challenge was issued!

Kuroko no Basuke

Episode 12

Things are not going well for Seirin.
Mood in the locker room was pretty gloomy.
In the second quarter they changed their tactics a bit, but still..
Those Shutoku guys really know their game.
Kagami gave them a bit of hope, but he can't play just by himself.
Second game of the day came to took it's toll.
